Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

WLM problems

Hi Laura, just to let you know the NHRP website has been having some problems, with knock-on effects for our WLM users trying to upload media here on Commons. We've had an extensive discussion with Largely_Forgotten about the issue, they've very kindly reported the issue at Commons:Village pump/Technical and Commons:Upload Wizard feedback, but I've promised that I would report the issue to the US WLM organisers, so I'm posting to your talk page to do so. This year will be the eighteenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2023) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. Dusk

Regarding this edit, per the English Wikipedia articles on Dusk and Twilight, the sun must be below the horizon for it to be considered dusk. In addition, I'm not sure it even counts as "sunset" as the sunset time in Manhattan for 4 Oct 2024 was approximately an hour after the photograph was taken (18:31 local time versus 17:33 local time). -- DanielPenfield (talk) 18:43, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
