Polacy[edit]

Jak pewnie zuważyłeś pochodzenie etniczne nie ma tu nic wspólnego z uznaniem danej osoby za Polaka. I Chopin, który był półFrancuzem i Polański, który ma korzenie żydowskie, wreszcie Kościuszko, który po matce był pół Białorusinem-wszyscy oni są Polakami. Z drugiej strony jednak Dzierżyński, który był w 100 % polskim szlachcicem nie pasuje do tego obrazka. Był on bolszewikiem i wyznawał ideologię internacjonalizmu, co więcej budował struktury terroru Rosji radzieckiej, która chciała zniszczyć Polskę. Już bardziej na miejscu było by umieszczenie go na obrazku Rosjanie. Tak samo Stalin, chociaż był Gruzinem to był wielkorosyjskim szowinistą. W miejsce krwawego Feliksa proponuję wstawienie zdjęcia Józefa Pisłudskiego, który jako litewski szlachcic był Polakiem. Mathiasrex 00:46, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Judy Garland Images[edit]

I personally contacted the author of the website of http://jgdb.com (you can check http://www.jgdb.com/intro7.htm#copy) - who has assured me all images are of public domain (or else they would not be displayed on his website!) In contact with e-mail he did his research to verify the copyright status of the images, or in same cases (none of which I have uploaded thus far) come from collections which he has been granted permission to use on his websites. I am working on the Spanish Project. Is there any way i can upload it. Does that means that in the spanish wikipedia no logos can be added??? I really want this logo on the article so it gives a visual representation! I have the program and i could take some pictures of the logo but i dont think that will work.

Logo and Copyright[edit]

Is there any way to upload a "postpositioned" logo to the commons? In my case Naruto is a trademark. Many countries provide an option/template to mark files as a logo and to allow the usage. Does commons have a way to do that?

I already wrote the article about BYU Television International in English BYU Television International and I have been working on the translation for Spanish. All I need to do still is upload our Logo. If it is our official logo, I WORK for BYU Television International, and I have permission from the creators to use it, then:

Your article BYU Television International looks good. Currently, w:Image:BYU_TV-Itrue.jpg has tags consistent with unapproved fair use, which as you know is not permitted on Wikimedia Commons and Spanish Wikipedia. I suggest the following:
  • That image does not have very high resolution. Upload the highest resolution available (up to 20 MB or 12.5 megapixels, whichever comes first) to either that image or to one named "BYU Television International Official Logo 2007" (for example) in the svg or png format.
  • License the resulting image file (or a higher-resolution version) via email to OTRS. Typical licensing would be {{PD-author}}, {{Cc-by-2.5}}, and {{Cc-by-sa-2.5}}, depending on how restrictive you want to get.
  • Once the resulting image file has an approved OTRS ticket, apply tag {{OTRS ticket}} to it.
  • Upload the resulting image file to Wikimedia Commons (using CommonsHelper).
  • Freely use the resulting image file on Spanish Wikipedia.
  • If you have control over BYU Television International's website, consider putting a statement of permission there as well, and licensing other materials freely (media to be hosted by Wikimedia Commons, encyclopedic info to be hosted by Wikipedia, text to be hosted by Wikisource, etc.).

Masz racje, ze to nie zdjecia. Ale pozostawiajac na boku copyright paranoia (kto nas pozwie za te plakaty...?), to:

Art. 5.
Nie stanowia przedmiotu prawa autorskiego:
2) pisma i wzory, przeznaczone przez władze do powszechnej wiadomosci
Art. 20.
W zakresie utworów plastycznych wolno:
1) wystawiać utwory publicznie, lecz tylko nieodpłatnie,
2) używać reprodukcji w celu nauczania, jeżeli utwór został wydany albo wystawiony jest stale w taki sposób, że każdy może go ogladać,
3) kopiować utwory w muzeach lub w innych instytucjach albo budynkach dostępnych dla publicznosci,
4) odtwarzać odpowiednie techniki reprodukcyjne dzieła sztuki wystawione w miejscach publicznych, jednakże nie w tych samych rozmiarach i nie do tego samego użytku

Na podstawie Art.5 mozna argumentowa, ze plakat propagandowy jest wzorem przeznaczonym do powszechnej wiadomosci i jako taki, nie podlega prawu autorskiemu. Jesli nawet sie z ta argumentacja nie zgodzimy, Art.20 pokazuje, ze publikacja tych zdjec na Commons nie narusza ustawy. No i konczac, przypominam: nie istnieje realne ryzyko ze ktos nam zarzuci naruszanie praw autorskich za plakaty z komuny, wiec ich usuwanie tylko szkodzi projektowi.

Co szkodzi projektowi... wiesz, jak pisze artykuly - np. en:History of Poland (1945-1989) - to grzech nie miec tam plakatu z partia u stery, tym bardziej w artykule o PZPR. 1 maj do pierwszego maja, itp. Plakaty te sa wazne dla artykulow, a przeciez nie zlinkujemy ich inaczej. Plakat powstał na terytorium okupowanej Polski, na zamówienie instytucji państwowej, dlatego oznaczyłem go licencją prawa autorskiego z 26 roku, którego art 21 brzmi: "(...) Prawo autorskie, które powstało na rzecz osób prawnych gaśnie w 50 lat od czasu wydania utworu lub innego podania go do wiadomości publicznej". Żołnierze SS Galizien zostali po wojnie uznani en block za obywateli polskich i dzięki temu uniknęli amerykańskiej deportacji do Związku Sowieckiego.

Jeżeli ta argumentacja byłaby nieprzekonywujaca, można jeszcze posłużyć się prawem amerykańskim: "It is believed that the use of scaled-down, low-resolution images of posters to provide critical commentary on the film, event, etc. in question or of the poster itself, not solely for illustration on the English-language Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation, qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law."

Wygląda, że nic nie możemy zrobić - prawo stoi tutaj twardo na gruncie obrony prawa hitlerowców do tantiem, chociaż oni nas nie pytali o pozwolenie, wieszając te plakaty na terytorium okupowanego kraju.
