SFC9394 - I think it is acceptable to use this image because it comes from an open access nature article and these are released under the creative commons license. I'm not sure what to do next but have explained this also on the file's talk page, thanks. Robert Walker (talk) 22:05, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oh sorry, seems I misread their guidelines. I thought it counted as open access because it wasn't behind a paywall. Didn't realize it meant the article has also to be tagged as open access. And it has a permissions tag at the top. I now agree that it has to be deleted, sadly. Robert Walker (talk) 22:11, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Have found another version, this time by JPL / NASA - and is actually much better :). [[1]]

Phasing (music)[edit]

File:Rhythm phasing sixteen parts with harmonic series pitches.ogv should begin with the other parts at 100%, then move to 101%, etc. Hyacinth (talk) 16:30, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry just noticed this. The first part is the reference tempo, so is 100%. The second is then 101%. Robert Walker (talk) 13:25, 27 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Warning sign
This file may be deleted.
A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, File:Running Hare by Harriet Mead.jpg, is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such works would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a map that has been altered from the original. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

Please edit the file description and add the missing information, or the file may be deleted. If you created the original content yourself, enter this information as the source. If someone else created the content, the source should be the address to the web page where you found it, the name and ISBN of the book you scanned it from, or similar. You should also name the author, provide verifiable information to show that the content is in the public domain or has been published under a free license by its author, and add an appropriate template identifying the public domain or licensing status, if you have not already done so. Please add the required information for this and other files you have uploaded before adding more files. If you need assistance, please ask at the help desk. Thank you!

File:The Martian interior.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. Sorry, I had made a mistake in my reading of the DLR page. Re-reading it, then we need to check the original source of the image. This image originates with the IDGP / David Ducross.[3] So it would be their image use policies apply, not DLR. Their site doesn't have an image use policy that I can see. I've just sent an email to check the status of their images and whether they are released under CC by SA or similar. I will respond with an update when I get a reply as to whether it is CC by SA and can be used here or released under some other license. Thanks! Robert Walker (talk) 12:58, 27 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
