I just noticed that you deleted a photo I added to the Commons: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Deletion_requests/File:David_K_Williams_Chief_Executive_Officer_of_Fishbowl.jpg. Thank you for doing your best to keep Wikipedia free of improperly used copyrighted material, but in this case you erred on the side of caution. I assure you this photo is not the property of any corporation or institution, and it's simply one that was taken via personal camera. I'm not sure how to prove this because by its nature it is difficult to prove that something whose ownership is not established anywhere online or in print truly came from the source I say it came from. How can I prove that this photo being included on Wikipedia is not in violation of anyone's copyright? Thank you for your help with this. I'm still learning Wikipedia's nuances, so I appreciate any insights you can give me. Robertlo9 (talk) 20:00, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Robertlo. I did not delete the file, I nominated the file for deletion. We can't be sure about own work claim for small files with no EXIF -like this one. So, admins can delete these files according to this policy. You can make a contact with User:INeverCry for better and more information. Have a nice day...--Rapsar (talk) 21:33, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
