Maritime borders[edit]

Of course we can work together, for now I'm a little busy with location maps, but I recommend limits in the seas as the best source for maritime boundary maps. Shadowxfox (talk) 17:27, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

Scheme variants for different languages[edit]

@ Thayts!

I've read your lettre to JuTa.

 • Why don't you simply explain each version in its language?
 • The fork is sufficiently described by the link text for the "other versions" ("The same graphic in English" / "The same graphic in Dutch")
 • If you optimize your scheme, I think you need no additional explication: You could write the status of the territories listed in one line beneath this line :)

In addition I have a warning and a general suggestion:

 • The warning: If you want to describe a graphic in more than three languages, you mustn't use the {{en…-template for the English text. If you use it, is suppresses the visibility of the other descriptions. But if you construct the layout of the English text manually and use the templates only for the other languages, all texts will be visible.
 • The general suggestion: If you are afraid that your graphic will be presented illegibly (onleesbaar) small, use an upright shape!

@Ulamm: Thanks, but I'm looking for a way to manage other versions centrally. If I have a lot of versions already and make one new version in another language, then I would need to update the summary of all the existing images to include a link to the new version. That's not very practical. I made a subpage for one of the images which I transcluded in the other, so I would have to update only one page. But apparently, this is not the way it should be done. How should I do this instead? Thayts (talk) 10:05, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
 • I think, it is no more work to write any description only in the page for the version of that special language.
 • If you don't want to actualize the pages of all existing variants whenever if you have created one more language variant, you can write a complete list of other versions in the description of the English version (|other_versions= • Dutch version
• Dutch version
• French version
• Spanish version),
and form all other variants you link only to this English version with "|other_versions= see overview"--Ulamm (talk) 10:52, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
@Ulamm: Yes that might be the best solution. I have now linked to the list of other versions at the English version from the Dutch version. Thanks! Thayts (talk) 17:25, 26 April 2014 (UTC)
