Is there a reason we cannot use text from Wikipedia in category descriptions? im fine with removal if its against policy, so can you point me to the policy about such edits?Mercurywoodrose (talk) 03:12, 26 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi Mercurywoodrose; Regarding my recent edit,[1] please see Commons:Categories#Creating_a_new_category and Commons:Galleries item 3. Interlanguage links make it easy for our users to navigate to Wikipedia articles in their own language (when available) and are strongly encouraged (Galleries, item 5). Unnecessary information may be distracting, confusing and unhelpful to our users. Best wishes, Walter Siegmund (talk) 18:02, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
