Copyright for use of image[edit]

Good afternoon Yasine,

I recently viewed an image that you may have contributed to Wikipedia.org (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Human_anatomy_planes.svg). If you're the owner of the image (i.e. if you own the copyrights to use the image) I'd like to know if I may purchase the right to use the image either on my website or in an App that I'm creating or both.

I've purchased the rights to use stock photos and/or images in the past from companies such as iStockPhoto.com and presently I haven't seen any similar images or illustrations on their website. You might wish to consider selling rights to use this image and other similar images if you do own them. I haven't been able to find any similar images for purchase so their might be a market for them.

Please let me know if you own the copyright and if you'd be willing to allow me to purchase the rights to use them.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Joe Sullivan

Hi Joe, this image is available under the terms of Creative Commons which means you are free to use, share, modify ... enjoy it :). Please take look to the licensing section below the file description. Thanks for your interest. Sincerely --YassineMrabet (talk) 11:10, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File:Elephantidae-scale.svg[edit]

Hi, want to know if you have a source for the 4m tall listed for Stegodon, I haven't been able to find any reference about the genus having species that big so I'm skeptical of it being true. [[User:Mike.BRZ|Mike.BRZ]] (talk) 18:37, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Honestly, I did not look for references from elsewhere. This information is taken from the article itself (probably influenced by museums specimen skeletons like this one). After your notification, I tried to find a reliable source (something like a review about Stegodon genus) without success except for the insular dwarf form. Please let me know if you find a reference. --YassineMrabet (talk) 10:07, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Family pedigree[edit]

I am confused with respect to the family pedigree that you created. It follows neither an X linked pattern (the mothers are usually carriers and the sons inherit the condition from the mother. If it was Y linked, all the sons would have the condition unless penetrance is incomplete. If the condition was somatic, female family members would be affected. I am curious about what is being represented by the chart. DebraBaker 01:26, 3 January 2014‎ (UTC)[reply]

Please let me know about what chart are you talking about? --YassineMrabet (talk) 08:49, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Merci!

Thank you for the very useful image on the different types of isomers. It is particularly useful to students as it is on the French science curriculum for "Terminale". I don't know how to modify Inkscape pics so I'm asking you, could you please add configurational stereoisomers and conformers in clear opposition. Thx!

HPLC apparatus[edit]

Dear Yassine,

I just wanted to ask and make it clear, if I'm allowed to use following picture http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:HPLC_apparatus.svg

Glycolysis image[edit]

Hi Yassine. I'm interested to use one of your files. What I need is this http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Glycolysis-es.svg, but it's not clear for me if I can or not use it freely. I'll be very grateful if you can message me back.

Greetings!

Please, see the above-response. --YassineMrabet (talk) 12:50, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Can you perhaps[edit]

…create an image of a Snyder column, the most common being a three segment, an image similar in scale to the one of the Vigreux column you created and uploaded? If so, it would go immediately into the "Condenser (laboratory)" article, alongside your Vigreux image. Please, if time permits, it will improve article quality immensely.

Here are links to visual examples: [1], [2], [3].

Also, as the only further request, when doing could leave anything appearing like a label/spot off of the top female ground joint, on the glassware—we experienced people know what the spot is, but others would not, and so when odd visual bits appear, they normally have to be explained. (I can always download the two images and remove the spots, if you cannot.)

Cheers, and TY in advance for any help you can provide. Le Prof. 71.239.87.100 20:37, 12 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Retinol structure is wrong[edit]

Hi Yassine,

Thanks so much for devoting your time to create contents for wiki. I just discovered that the following picture has the wrong double bond specification for the 5-member ring in retinol:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retinol#mediaviewer/File:Retinol_mol_3D.png

Earlier versions of this file were OK.

Thanks,

Thank you for pointing out this mistake. I just replaced with another correct version "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Retinol_3D_balls.png". I will correct my own as soon as possible. Regards, --YassineMrabet (talk) 08:12, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Non-proteins in PyMOL[edit]

Hi, YassineMrabet. I was looking through different files on Wikimedia Commons, that were created in PyMOL, and stumbled upon your fullerene modell. Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2017 is open![edit]

You are receiving this message because you voted in R1 of the 2017 Picture of the Year contest, but not yet in R2.

Dear YassineMrabet,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2017 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the twelfth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2017) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1475 candidate images. There are 58 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top 2 from each sub-category.

In the final round, you may vote for a maximum of three images. The image with the most votes will become the Picture of the Year 2017.

Round 2 will end on 22 July 2018, 23:59 UTC.

Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee 11:33, 17 July 2018 (UTC)

Question about image of tartaric acid crystals[edit]

Hi. I was just reviewing your vector image of tartaric acid crystals found at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tartaric_acid#meso-Tartaric_acid. Except for some differently-shaded crystal faces, the two items appear to me to be superimposable. Likely, there is something important about the shading, but it is not made clear in the WP article or in the image file at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tartaric_acid#/media/File:TartrateCrystal.svg. Would you kindly help me understand what I am not seeing? Thanks. AWCzarnik (talk) 11:39, 16 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
