Camera used to take photo
[edit]I saw your photo on the White Mountain National Forest wiki page. I know the submission was a long time ago, so you may not respond to this message. What camera did you use to take that photograph?
I'm currently using a phone camera, a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra (bought in 2021) which can take panoramic photos, yet it doesn't quite capture the detail and color like your camera did when I was in that area recently. My phone has a 108 megapixel camera. Number of pixels aren't everything it seems.
Are there point-and-shoot cameras that can capture the detail and color like yours did? The previous question might start a whole other conversation altogether probably.
I'd like to take high quality, detailed landscape photos. I was hoping I could get one without requiring to buy a camera that requires changing out lenses. I'm not knowledgeable about that field of cameras nor how to use one, so a point-and-shoot might be the best start. I bought one around the same time as my phone, a $100 one, but it pretty much took pictures of the same quality that my phone did. Wiki'ed82 (talk) 18:20, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
- It was an SLR I borrowed from a friend; I have no recollection of what make/model. It was several individual shots, which I then stitched together using Hugin. I don't have any knowledge of the best state-of-the-art point and shoot or phone cameras. 71.15.200.74 18:23, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hm, I see. Wondering if you still talk to the friend, maybe I can get an idea of what a decent camera might be, if they happen to know. Just a shot in the dark.
- If not, I still commend you taking the individual shots, stitching, and making a good panoramic picture. Wiki'ed82 (talk) 05:38, 22 October 2023 (UTC)
