English: The Victoria Falls are waterfalls on the Zambezi River which forms the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. The falls are also known as Mosi oa Tunya.
Baines' illustrations 1865 (and comparisons)[edit]
In 1865 the traveller and artist Thomas Baines published illustrations of the falls. In human history a great deal has changed around the falls, but the falls themselves seem the same as ever.
In 2003, the buffaloes were protected: this area is now Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park in Zambia
