Victor zu Wied, Wilhelm Friedrich Adolph Hermann Victor, Prinz zu Wied, born 7 December 1877 in Neuwied, deceased 1 March 1946 in Moosburg an der Isar, was a german diplomat and a member of the german House of Wied from Rheinland-Pfalz.

Family background and ancestry[edit]

Victor zu Wied was the son of the general and politician Wilhelm zu Wied (1845-1907) and his wife, princess Marie der Nederlanden (1841-1910). An older brother of his were Wilhelm av Wied (1876-1945), who for a short time was the head of state of Albania [1]. Victor's aunt Elisabet zu Wied was queen of Romania.
