If we find spermatozoa, but always motionless, they have died duringtheir passage through the seminal canals, and probably from disease ofthese latter. According to A. If the zoospermsare in active motion, the cause of the sterility must be sought in thefemale. If aspermatism is present, there will be no fluid in the urethra to beexamined. It must not be forgotten, however, that certain obstaclesmay cause the somen to flow backAvards into the bladder, and in thesecases the urine at the next micturition sliould be examined for sperma-tozoa. But not only the presence and motility of the zoosperms sliould beexamined into, their size and shape should also be noted. Though we
