You Delete a picture Bild:Andy erotic 012.jpg[edit]

You destroy an german article, this picture has a specific function and shows us, the meaning of "Feigenblatt" in the article (its a bad picture with a special function). Please put it in back in the Commons or in the German Wikipedia. Thanks.

Deleting duplicates[edit]

When deleting duplicates, please check usage. Image:Missing barnstar.jpg is used on hundreds of pages, while Image:Missing barnstar.JPG is used only on two. The latter is also missing a license tag. The administrator deleting duplicates is responsible for changing all links; it's not a question of an image disappearing from Commons, so we need to make sure we don't interrupt things on other projects. Hola Gizmo II. Me dirijo a ti por esto, aunque en realidad el motivo de que desarrolle esta comunicación es que creo importante que con el diálogo que establezcamos los usuarios unifiquemos criterios a la hora de marcar o desmarcar imágenes.

He intentado contactar contigo por correo electrónico, pero el tuyo no está accesible.

Marqué esa imagen por ausencia de origen. Te expongo mis criterios y mi manera de actuar:

En Commons:Licensing#License Information se dice: The Source of the material, preferably a web link or a citation. This obviously does not apply if the material is first published on the commons and the uploader is the author of the material. This should be stated explicitly. (La fuente del contenido, preferiblemente un enlace web o una cita. Obviamente, esto no se aplica si el contenido se publica por vez primera en Commons y la persona que lo sube es su autor, pero esto sí debe indicarse explícitamente).

Entiendo que el motivo de que haya que aclarar en caso de una licencia "self" el origen de la imagen se debe a que muchos usuarios ponen una licencia al azar, indebidamente.

Es cierto que no siempre marco las imágenes "self" que carecen de origen. Cuando tienen gran tamaño y datos de la cámara (al final de la página), unicamente aviso e informo al usuario de que puede tener problemas y le explico cómo evitarlos.

En este caso, la imagen no tiene los datos "exif" de la cámara y es muy pequeña. Pienso que el dato "self" de la licencia puede ser falso, de ahí que la marcase.

Evidentemente, por respeto y preocupación por el bien estar, no voy a deshacer tu edición; pero sí me gustaría saber que es lo que piensas sobre el asunto. Un cordial saludo --Lmbuga gl, pt, es: contacta comigo 14:45, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Caballero bibliotecario[edit]

Señor caballero, me dirijo a usted a ver si puede echarme una mano con el usuario Titongozalez23. Se le ha explicado por activa y por pasiva el tema de las licencias, se le llegó a bloquear por falsificar algunas y aún sigue insistiendo. Le dejé un mensaje avisándole de que las últimas licencias que había colocado eran falsas. El amigo Tito lo retiró de su discusión y ahora ha cambiado en algunas el aviso de copy por un delete. En otras insiste en colocar como licencia una marca de copy pero las licencia como PD. Si fuera usted tan amable de explicarle de nuevo el problema con el copyright le estaría agradecida (antes ya les pedí el favor a Anna y a Platonides pero el amigo Tito sigue insistiendo. Lo suyo es eficacia :) Por cierto, ¿existe alguna página en la que se puedan denunciar casos como el de Tito? Siempre voy a darles la lata a los biblios que conozco pero al final me van a mandar a paseo. Tengo localizada a otra "joya" de usuario, Cristiano Gomes, un portugués o brasileño que no sólo falsifica las licencias sino que también da URL de origen falsas. De momento todas sus contribuciones están controladas pero me gustaría saber qué hacer si veo que sigue con su actitud. I would also ask for unblocking User:Thomas doerfer since I cannot see a real reason for this. I know him a bit and I'm sure he is open for discussion as well as for improvement of his work here in Commons. You really should assume good faith with him. He has uploaded a lot of images without license, and Flickr images with incorrect licenses. It does seem a bit harsh to block infinitely right away; could it/should it perhaps be changed to a shorter block, with a {{Wait}} notice on his talk page, so that the mess can be cleaned up before he's given another chance. Hello, it was not my intention to upload some pictures without licenses. The problem: I have saved the pictures to my computer just with a mistake in the name of it. Then I've loaded it up with some corrections and with the wrong name without any knowledge about it. I DON'T want it! It was simply a mistake. Hola amigo

Hace algún tiempo subí a Commons la imagen de una obra artística correspondiente a un retrato del General Francisco de Paula Santander de 1874, la cual correctamente licenciada se encuentra en algunos artículos de Wikipedia. Sin embargo parece que otro usuario subió una foto del estadio General Santander de Cúcuta con el mismo nombre a Commons Image:General santander.jpg. Por favor, me gustaría saber si es posible que revises esta imagen y me ayudes a solucionar este problema como administrador.

V8[edit]

Ya encontré el origen de la foto de V8 situada en Image:V8banda.jpg. Se está usando en la Wikipedia en castellano en artículos candidatos a artículos buenos, así que si te parece que está todo en orden dale el visto bueno. No sé si me tocaba sacar el aviso de que no hay fuentes al poner las fuentes, o si hay que dejarlo y un bibliotecario (o lo que haya acá en Commons) tiene que decidir si sacarlo o no (como lo de "Sin relevancia" en Wikiedia), por las dudas asumí que sea el segundo caso para no armar lío Thanos 18:27, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your removal of File:Dancing-male-booby.jpg[edit]

According to the at log, the picture had a very explicit "Author" tag: panBK. That's me... Why was it removed?!

The notice posted on my page stated, the authorship was not clear:
I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear.

Rights question[edit]

Unless I'm very mistaken, the rights claim on Image:Pepeblanco.jpg seems to be "he sent my mother this signed picture, so I can donate the rights to the underlying image." Seems pretty dubious to me. Vamos a ver Gizmo...pensaba que quedaba suficientemente claro en la información de la imagen su procedencia. Es una foto particular de un amigo de la familia, de Pepe Blanco, que lleva en casa de mi madre más de 40 años, firmada por él, y dedicada a mi madre, Esther. A quién quieres que pida el permiso, a los herederos de Pepe Blanco por el uso de una foto dedicada de su abuelo puesta únicamente para honrar su memoria? Se reirían de mí, no crees? Cómo quieres que te proporcione un enlace a una web? Como mucho te puedo proporcionar si lo deseas la dirección de mi madre en Logroño, la vas a visitar, que te enseñe la foto original, y todos contentos. O te paso el teléfono de sus nietos Pepe, o de Ruben, o de su bisnieto Pepe, aunque éste con 7 añitos no creo que te solucione nada. Haz lo que quieras, qué quieres que te diga, si la quieres borrar, bórrala. Llevaís lo del Copyright a unos extremos alucinantes, la verdad. Haz lo que quieras, qué quieres que te diga....pensé que alguien como Pepe Blanco merecía este pequeño homenaje. Y no es una foto de un cantante dada a un fan, sino una foto de un amigo dada a otro amigo, teniendo yo la suerte de seguir manteniendo contacto con sus herederos. Ahora bien, si tu conciencia te dice que debe ser borrada, yo no puedo hacer nada. Una pregunta....una foto con una dedicatoria explícita hacia una tercera persona...no pasa a ser propiedad de la persona que recibe la dedicatoria? No sé si me explico...esta no es la foto original, sino que está alterada con una dedicatoria y una firma, entregada expresamente por la persona fotografiada a la persona mencionada en la misma, es decir, mi madre, Esther. No varía eso el copyright? No quiero convertir esto en un melodrama, Jmabel, te lo prometo, simplemente quiero conocer bien la norma, y no tengo claro que una foto dedicada pertenezca al autor de la foto. El foto como objecto, sí. Pero los derechos intelectuales, no. Al menos en los EEUU, y creo que es más o menos lo mismo en otros paises. Otro caso similar es si yo compro un cuadro, o el artista le me da, el cuadro físico es el mío, pero los derechos del artista queden con el artista. Foto "cropped"[edit]

Quería hacerte una consulta. He visto en varias imágenes de Commons en las cuales existe más de una versión de las mismas, como por ejemplo una versión recortada para mostrar un determinado detalle. A lo que voy es que quiero coger esta foto y recortarla para que solamente aparezca la cara de Pedro Sanz, Presidente de La Rioja en su artículo, y no sé cual es el procedimiento, si hay que subirla junto al original, y en ese caso cómo hacerlo, etc. Gracias de antemano --Pacoperez6 21:33, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Map Fabrication - Primary Source, not citing sources[edit]

Hello Gizmo II!

I see that you have deleted Image:Geographic distribution of the spanish language neutral.png. Good! It was a complete fabrication. But I must tell you that there are several other maps with the same problem. Could you check them out?

I also have many problems with several maps of the en:Spanish Empire, that persist in maintaining that the en:Portuguese Empire was part of it, due to the period of the en:Iberian Union. Maps such as Image:Imperio español.png, Image:Imperio español 1580-1640.PNG, Image:Spanish Empire(Total Expansion).jpg, Image:Spanish Empire.png, and Image:Spanish colonization of the Americas.png. My reasoning and sources about this enormous mistake can be found at the respective talk pages. But I know this is an all toghether different story, since what we have here is a dispute between myself and other editors. I was even banned for a 31 hour period at the Spanish wiki by User:Durero for trying to correct the maps (which are basically only used in the Spanish wiki) - it is true that I could have behaved better (I wasn't logged in, but I did say whom I was at the Commons and English wiki), since I did break the 3RR. Still I do find that my block was made with excessive speed, without proper warnings and a possibility to discuss things (and I did present my reasonings in the edit summary). I am not trying to get you on my side. But seeing that you are an admin here and a sysop in the Spanish wiki, could you look into the whole issue? Muchas Gracias! Deleted "Anonymous" protest pictures[edit]

Can you point me to where consensus was reached to delete this vast swathe of images, many of which were in use on Wikinews - including one which had been featured on the front page?

Pokédex images[edit]

Hello, why did you delete the images Pokedex-German.jpg and Pokedex-Deluxe-German.jpg? Just because of the Pokémon logos? I blurred out the pictures of the characters and the Pokéball, but not the logos because there are a lot of photos of devices with logos on Commons. For example, Nintendodsfrench.jpg had a deletion request because of Nintendo logos, but was kept. And even the Pokémon logo itself is found on another photo, TOYOTA ist Pikachu Car.jpg, which went through two deletion requests, but was kept as well. So, why did you delete the two images? Veo que sos argentino como yo y como sos administrador de Commons vengo a pedirte algunos favores: necesito que borres Image:Mi diseño de bandera.JPG que es una imagen que creé yo para uso en mi página de usuario en Wikipedia español y como ahora me retiro de allí considero inútil que siga estando acá y por eso te pido que la borres. Por otro lado, como esta cuenta no voy a utilizar más, necesito que me bloquees para siempre y que reemplaces mi página de usuario y de discución con una redirección o con la plantilla de retiro que usan acá en Commons, que no sé cuál será. Si puedes hacer lo mismo con esta otra cuenta que uso (es decir, bloquear para siempre, borrar página y poner plantilla de retiro).

He notado que además de contar con el mismo usuario como revisador, que es una coincidencia, y de parecer recortes de otras fotos, que es otra, no cuentan con un usuario activo en flickr. Como nada de lo anterior es irregular, si me parecería lógico que dichas fotos fueran eliminadas porque la licencia original en flickr, al no existir el usuario actualmente, no se halla disponible. Aunque el usuario y la licencia existiera en el momento de subir las fotos, no existe licencia actualmente que permita la difusión de la foto en ninguna condición.
