The image is a sceenshot from the Simulator taken when I was the Program Manager responsible for Robotics Developer Studio. In fact, I designed the Reference Platform and worked with Parallax to create the first real implementation of it. I took the photo File:Reference Platform Robot.jpg on the RDS Wikipedia page. It is a prototype we built using Parallax components.
RDS was discontinued in 2012 and the Robotics Group was disbanded. I am now retired and there is nobody at Microsoft to authorize the release of the image. It is of historical interest only. 45.132.224.97 02:05, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Going off your word is not good enough, you need to work with COM:VRT to confirm the media can be restored here. Of course it is historically relevant, but if you aren't able to prove to VRT it can be on here, then it is a non-free file. detriaskies 17:40, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It appears that my Wikipedia account is deleted or disabled. My User Page is gone and I cannot log in. I am not interested in pursuing this issue over a dead product. You might as well delete the RDS page because I created much of the content. 124.176.35.186 23:35, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your user page en:User:TrevorTaylor is still there. Probably you confused Wikimedia Commons with Wikipedia. Have a try logging in there. --Achim55 (talk) 07:58, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. My account is still there. A password reset using my email address never responded. When I tried using my username and email it worked. I could not find my page in a search because I needed to add a user: prefix. It has been a long time since I used Wikipedia. I have forgotten how to use it. I am not sure why the context of you writing it should facilitate it being removed, its a notable product and deserves an article. You should declare a connection on the talk page though, just at the top of the page. Here is my declaration for reference. detriaskies 15:29, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have sent an email to VRT explaining the situation. TrevorTaylor (talk) 01:36, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
