English: The United States Sesquicentennial was a series of celebrations and observances during the mid-1920s and 1930s that paid tribute to the historical events leading up to the creation of the United States as an independent republic. Major sesquicentennial celebrations included the Sesquicentennial Exposition in Philadelphia in 1926 (the 150th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence) and 1937 (the 150th anniversary of the adoption of the United States Constitution)).
