English: Angkor (meaning "City") is the name of a region near the modern city of Siem Reap in Cambodia, that was the center of Kambuja or Kambujadesha, the historical kingdom of the Khmer-People from the 9th until the 15th century a.d.

Deutsch: Angkor (wörtlich "Stadt") bezeichnet eine Region nahe der Stadt Siem Reap in Kambodscha, die vom 9. bis zum 15. Jahrhundert das Zentrum des historischen Khmer-Königreiches Kambuja bildete.
