, pinyin: Wú Zuòdòng; born 20 May 1941), was the second Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore from 28 November 1990 to 12 August 2004, succeeding Lee Kuan Yew. He is currently one of the Senior Ministers of Singapore and the chairman of Singapore's central bank, the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
