English: Media related to U.S. Route 49 in Utah (US 491), formerly designated as U.S. Route 666 (US 666), a 17.0694-mile (27.4705 km) section of U.S. Numbered Highway in San Juan County, Utah, United States, that connects U.S. Route 191 in Monticello with US 491 in Colorado.

From 1910 to 1977, the corridor of the current US 491 in the state, was designated by the Utah State Legislature as the eastern end of State Route 9. In 1926 this corridor was designated as part of U.S. Route 160. In 1970, as part of a re-alignment of U.S. Numbered Highways in the Four Corners region, the corridor was renumbered as US 666, but retained its State Route 9 designation. In 1977, the State Route 9 designation was applied to a different highway in the state (former State Route 15) and US 666 in Utah was designated as State Route 666. In May 2003, the entire former US 666 was officially renumbered US 491 and the section in Utah was designated as State Route 491.
