Shouldn't the category name be in English? --ŠJů (talk) 23:35, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It's not necessary - and most of the categories for jewish cemeteries in the region use German names (cf. Category:Jewish cemeteries in Rhineland-Palatinate). But Category:Jewish cemetery Nickenich would also work. --Jergen (talk) 07:38, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
There is a question whether to make all other categories conform with Commons language policy or to make this one category conform with most of other sister categories. Proper names should be not ad hoc translated to English, but this category name appears to ber rather descriptive name than a real or codified proper name.
As you can see, I'm not very good at English, but shouldn't the correct name be rather Category:Jewish cemetery in Nickenich or Category:Nickenich Jewish cemetery? As I know, the grammar binding form "Category:Jewish cemetery Nickenich" is not just preferred in English. --ŠJů (talk) 20:17, 12 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Btw., your single rename argument is the name of the Wikipedia article. We can read there: "Er diente den Juden in Kruft und Nickenich". Have you some specific argument or sources that the cemetery should be named rather after Nickenich than after Kruft (or after both)? If both names would be equally correct and used, Commons need not preffer the same variant as Wikipedia. --ŠJů (talk) 20:22, 12 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
