ไทย: วัดสุทัศนเทพวราราม เป็นวัดที่พระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธยอดฟ้าจุฬาโลกมหาราชโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้สถาปนาขึ้นใน พ.ศ. 2350 เดิมพระราชทานนามว่า “วัดมหาสุทธาวาส” โปรดเกล้าฯ ให้สร้างพระวิหารขึ้นก่อนเพื่อประดิษฐานพระศรีศากยมุนี (พระโต) ซึ่งอัญเชิญมาจากพระวิหารหลวงวัดมหาธาตุ จังหวัดสุโขทัย แต่สิ้นรัชกาลก่อนที่จะประดิษฐานเป็นสังฆาราม จึงเรียกกันว่า วัดพระโต วัดพระใหญ่ หรือวัดเสาชิงช้าบ้าง จนกระทั่งในรัชสมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธเลิศหล้านภาลัยโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้สร้างต่อ และทรงจำหลักบานประตูพระวิหารด้วยพระองค์เอง แต่ก็สิ้นรัชกาลเสียก่อนที่การก่อสร้างจะแล้วเสร็จ การก่อสร้างวัด มาเสร็จบริบูรณ์ในรัชสมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระนั่งเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว ใน พ.ศ. 2390 และพระราชทานนามว่า “วัดสุทัศนเทพวราราม” ปรากฏในจดหมายเหตุว่า “วัดสุทัศนเทพธาราม” และในรัชสมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว ทรงผูกนามพระประธานในพระวิหาร พระอุโบสถ และศาลาการเปรียญ ให้คล้องกันว่า "พระศรีศากยมุนี" "พระพุทธตรีโลกเชษฐ์" และ "พระพุทธเสรฏฐมุนี"
ภายในวัดสุทัศนเทพวรารามเป็นที่ประดิษฐานพระบรมราชานุสาวรีย์ พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวอานันทมหิดล พระอัฐมรามาธิบดินทร และได้อัญเชิญ พระบรมราชสรีรางคารของพระองค์ มาบรรจุที่ผ้าทิพย์ด้านหน้าพุทธบัลลังก์พระศรีศากยมุนีเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2493 และมีพระราชพิธีทรงบำเพ็ญพระราชกุศลคล้ายวันสวรรคตของพระบาทสมเด็จพระปรเมนทรมหาอานันทมหิดล พระอัฐมรามาธิบดินทรในวันที่ 9 มิถุนายนของทุกปี
