ADN-ZB Gahlbeck 19.12.79-Nl-Schr. 6teilige Serie historische Gststätten in der DDR Der "Thüringer Hof", gelegen in der Burgstraße im Herzen Leipzigs, gilt mit seinen 550 Jahren als älterste Gaststätte der Messestadt. im Jahre 1428 nämlich belehnte der Sachsen-Herzog Friedrich II. den Burggrafen Albrecht von Leipzig mit den "hofe in der Buregassen an der egken dem borne gelegen". Sowird der "Thüringer Hof" erstmals urnkunglich erwähnt, wobei sicher schon Jahrzehnte vorher Kaufleute, Handwerker und Gesellen in einer dort schon existierenden Schenke wacker gezecht hatten. Sehr bald hatte die skademische Jugend der im Jahre 1409 gegründeten Leipziger Universität die gastliche Stätte in ihren Besitz genommen. Sie wurde Treffpunkt berühmter Wissenschaftler, Literaten und Künstler. Heute ist der ""thüringer Hof"" HO-Gaststätte. Sein äußeres Wahrzeichen sind die schönen schmiedeeisernen Laternen und das Wirtshausschild. (Sihe auch T0724-11 N u. U1219-21,28,29,30 N)
