This painting was acquired at the "Century-Sale" of Sotheby's in Hanoverian Royal Castle Marienburg by Hildesheim, near Hanover, where on 5-15 October 2005 a gigantic sale of ca. 25,000 art (and every day life) objects from the Hanoverian Royal House property (formerly kept in various castles and palaces of this family) took place. Among these objects was also our monumental painting.
