Description
English: This photograph was taken by me at the Kalleshvara temple (also spelt Kalleshwara or Kallesvara) in Bagali, Davangere district, Karnataka state, India. The temple construction was started in the late Rashtrakuta period and completed in 987 AD during the rule of Western (Kalyani) Chalukya King Tailapa II. All the 36 inscriptions discovered in the temple complex have been assigned to the 10th-11th century period by the Archaeological Survey of India
