English: Advertisement for Chicory (Cichorium intybus) by Starr & C:o in Riga, warning the public about "inferior" products of their competitor, Wilhelm Schauman of Jakobstad. The advertisement appeared in multiple Finnish newspapers in 1886, in both Finnish and Swedish.

owat pakotetut ilmoittamaan yleisölle häwyttömästä toimesta, jonka tarkoi-
tuksena lienee pettää yleisöä, joka käyttää meidän sikariamme.
   Herra Wilhelm Schauman Pietarsaaresta on nimittäin ryhty-
nyt siihen kujeeseen, ettähän on hankinut yhtäläisen sinisen etiketin
kuin se, jota me olemme käyttäneet vuodesta 1870 saakka, luottaen
siihen että yleisö ei tunne wenäläisiä kirjaimia.
   Syystä, että herra Schauman'in ala-arwoista tawaraa myydään ni-
mellä wenäläistä sikuria, mutta jonka etiketin wenäläinen päällekirjoitus-
kaan ei liene wenäläistä tekoa, saamme täten kehoittaa yleisöä sikuria ostet-
taessa tarkkaan katsomaan, että paketit owat warustetut meidän toimi-
nimellämme
