| Description |
English: "Old Highway", Winters Lane, Omagh. In one of Dr Haldene's "Images of Omagh" series, the late William McGrew mentions that the "Old Highway" was the road to the right at the rear end of Knocksilla Park. It was formerly connected to the Crevenagh Road and formed part of the old road to Beragh via King James Bridge before the erection of Campsie Bridge in 1838. I am assuming that this must have been part of Winters Lane. This continues at Camowen 626991. |
