"Portrait Of Hortense Mancini, Niece Of Mazarin, 17th Century"

17th century portrait depicting Hortense Mancini, Duchess of Mazarin and Countess of Rozoy (1646-1699) is one of Cardinal Mazarin's nieces. Provenance: Chateau d'Engelbourg (town of the angel), located on the heights of Thann in Alsace. In 1658, the castle fell to Cardinal de Mazarin, having taken over Alsace, Louis XIV no longer seeing any strategic interest in this castle ordered its destruction in 1673.
