| Description |
English: "The Purdy Field", Errigle This is where the vegetables were grown, taking advantage of a south sloping well drained field. They included new potatoes, which were dug as you eat them, peas, carrots and cabbages. The main crop of potatoes was rotated in other fields and the "spuds" had to be sprayed to prevent the occurrence of potato blight. To the right higher up were fruit bushes, including cherry trees and gooseberry bushes. |
