Description
On the obverse of a medal is an island on which there is a tower. At the top of it floats a flag bearing a crescent and a star. In the sky are also a crescent and a star. In the lower right corner appears a radiant sun. On the periphery of this medal is an inscription in Latin.

The photographed silver medal belongs to Philippe Pons.

This medal was made by Oscar Roty to commemorate the creation of the kingdom of île d'Or (Saint-Raphaël, Var, France) which occurred on September 19, 1910[1]. It is awarded by Angelo Mariani to Auguste Lutaud on September 12, 1911, Oscar Roty having died a few weeks ago on March 23, 1911[2].
