Description

On the obverse of a medal are heraldry. The coat of arms evokes a shield divided into 4 parts:

  1. represents a tower on an island in the sea with a rising sun on the left;
  2. has as background two parts, at the top in one color, at the bottom of the horizontal bands of alternating colors, with a crescent at the points to the left and a star above;
  3. has the same background as the previous one but with a trident intertwined with a snake;
  4. represents a lobster.
The supports consist of two monsters standing opposite each other on two olive branches. The whole is surmounted by a crown. In place of the motto is an inscription in Latin. A free place leaves room to engrave the name of the recipient. Underneath is in Roman numerals the year of creation of the kindom according to the Hegirian calendar: MCCCXXVIII (1910). The set is surrounded by an inscription in Arabic characters repeated four times.
