Description
Українська: Гаммарус, темне поле + поляризація. Поверхня тіла цього виду гаммарусу вкрита шаром кристалів, які видно тільки в поляризованому світлі. Ці кристалі мають здатність подвійного заломлення світла, тому при використанні поляризаторів вони переливаються різними кольорами. Даний екземпляр із річки Дніпро.
English: Gammarus, dark field + polarization. The surface of the body of this species of gammarus is covered with a layer of crystals, which are visible only in polarized light. These crystals have the ability to double refract light, so when using polarizers, they shimmer in different colors. This specimen is from the Dnieper River.
