Description
Русский: Мастер С. Ушаков, 1660 год написания. Поучительная икона-притча. В верхней части композиции, в облаках, – Господь Бог;

ниже, на черном гробе, стоит молодой человек в богатой одежде, к которому обращены слова притчи: «Смертный человек, бойся Того, кто над тобою. Не надейся на то, что перед тобою. Не уйдешь от того, кто за тобою. Не минешь того, что под тобою».

Перед ним на роскошном, столике расположены атрибуты богатства и власти (злато), а за его спиной – скелет с косой (смерть). Притча имеет явно назидательный характер – героем выведен безусый молодой человек, взгляд которого обращен к материальным благам. Что выберет юноша, по какой стезе пойдет? Источник: Тарасов О. Ю.
