Амангельды Иманов родился в 1873 году в селе №3 (Терисбутак) Кайдаульской волости Тургайского уезда, ныне – Амангельдинский район Костанайской области. Амангельды родился в бедной казахской семье, получил образование в сельской Молдавии, поступил в медресе Тасыбая и Ташмагамбета Ишанов. До 12 лет учился в сельской школе, затем четыре года в медресе, изучал турецкий, персидский, арабский языки. Он является соратником Кенесары хана, потомком имана батыра. Снайпер, всадник, энергичный, любящий свободу герой участвовал в восстаниях против власти 1905 – 1907 годов, подвергался преследованиям и прятался в отдаленных селах Торгайской степи. В 1910 году по его инициативе была построена школа в селе Терисбутак, где жил клан Амангельды.[1]
