Українська: Ящірка прудка (Lacerta agilis) є видом з родини справжніх ящірок. Цей вид поширений у більшості країн Європи. Ящірка прудка має статевий диморфізм: самці під час шлюбного сезону набувають яскраво-зеленого забарвлення, яке згодом блідне. Вони відомі своєю агресивною поведінкою та вибагливістю при виборі партнерів під час сезону розмноження. Ящірки прудкі проводять більшу частину часу гріючись, шукаючи їжу або перебуваючи під рослинністю, воліючи жити у різноманітних середовищах. Їх можна знайти на відкритих, дуже сухих місцях із низькорослими травами, вересом (Calluna vulgaris) та лишайниками. Lacerta agilis має зеленувато-коричневе забарвлення, що дозволяє їй ідеально маскуватися серед кущів вересу, які є характерними для ландшафту Полісся. Ящірка використовує тактику "завмирання", щоб залишатися непомітною для потенційних хижаків та здобичі.
English: The sand lizard (Lacerta agilis) is a species of true lizards, distributed across most of Europe. Sand lizards exhibit sexual dimorphism, with males displaying bright green flanks during the breeding season, which later fade. They are known for their aggressive behavior and selectivity when choosing mates during the mating season. Sand lizards spend most of their time basking, foraging, or under vegetation, preferring to live in diverse habitats. They can be found in open, very dry habitats with low-growing herbs, heather (Calluna vulgaris), and lichens.
Deutsch: Die Zauneidechse (Lacerta agilis) ist eine Art der echten Eidechsen, die in den meisten Teilen Europas verbreitet ist. Zauneidechsen zeigen einen Geschlechtsdimorphismus, wobei die Männchen während der Paarungszeit leuchtend grüne Flanken zeigen, die später verblassen. Sie sind bekannt für ihr aggressives Verhalten und ihre Selektivität bei der Partnerwahl während der Paarungszeit. Zauneidechsen verbringen die meiste Zeit mit Sonnenbaden, Nahrungssuche oder unter Vegetation und bevorzugen es, in vielfältigen Lebensräumen zu leben. Sie können in offenen, sehr trockenen Lebensräumen mit niedrig wachsenden Kräutern, Heidekraut (Calluna vulgaris) und Flechten gefunden werden.

Jaszczurki zwinki wykazują dymorfizm płciowy, z samcami wykazującymi jasnozielone boki podczas sezonu godowego, które później bledną. Są znane ze swojego agresywnego zachowania i selektywności podczas wyboru partnerów w sezonie godowym. Jaszczurki zwinki spędzają większość czasu na opalaniu się, żerowaniu lub pod roślinnością, preferując życie w różnorodnych siedliskach. Można je znaleźć na otwartych, bardzo suchych terenach z nisko rosnącymi ziołami, wrzosami (Calluna vulgaris) i porostami.
