Tamil name : Sangam (சங்கம்) ‘conch’ Branches are used for making traditional fish traps;Leaf juice cures stomach ache ;plant is useful in treatment of ringworm and for intermittent fevers; Leaf poultices are applied on swellings ; Medicinal drink is given to heal just given
