ไทย: ความสำคัญของวัดพระธาตุลำปางหลวง

1.เป็นต้นกำเนิดของคำว่า “ลำปาง” จนมาเป็นจังหวัดลำปางในปัจจุบัน

2.เป็นวัดที่พระมหากษัตริย์ไทย เจ้าผู้ครองนครลำปางและภาคเหนือทั้งหมดเคยเสด็จและยกย่องว่าเป็นหลักของบ้านเมืองสืบมาทุกยุคทุกสมัย

3.ในตำนานระบุไว้ว่ามีพระบรมสารีริกธาตุของพระพทธเจ้าส่วนสำคัญบรรจุอยู่ในพระธาตุเจดีย์ ได้แก่พระเกศา พระอัฐิธาตุ พระนลาตข้างขวา

พระอัฐิธาตุพระสอด้านหน้าด้านหลัง ที่พระกุมาระกัสสะปะเถระเจ้าและพระเมฆิยะเถระเจ้าอัญเชิญมาประดิษฐานไว้

4.เป็นที่ประดิษฐานพระแก้วมรกต

5.มีอนุสรณ์การกอบกู้อิสรภาพของดินแดนล้านนาไม่ให้ตกเป็นเมืองขึ้น
