中文（臺灣）：這張繪葉書中的顏色有點不自然，因為這不是真的彩色照片，而是黑白照片經過人工上色而成，以黑白照片用手工彩色上色的技術，在日治中後期相當流行，底下文字敘述：帶著清純神情的太魯閣族美少女。圖中可見一位盛裝打扮的太魯閣族女性，紋面於額頭與雙頰上，表示她擅長織布與耕作，且織布技術受到部落成員的認可，才有資格印上這樣象徵美麗、勇敢、避邪的圖案。另外男性則是要善於藤編與狩獵，才能在額頭與下巴紋面。太魯閣族族人相信在逝世後會有一道彩虹橋，沒紋面者無法通過前往橋另一端，有紋面祖靈才能認得你是同一個族群的子孫。另外，平常的太魯閣族並不會穿著像圖中一樣盛裝打扮，通常是祭儀、結婚等重要時刻才會以這樣出席。此影像收錄於2016年（民國105年）由花蓮文史工作者葉柏強先生撰寫、花蓮縣文化局出版的《顧我洄瀾：花蓮歷史影像集》，書中收錄了大量花蓮在地的歷史影像，如老照片、繪葉書、宣傳摺頁、郵戳樣式等，是深入花蓮文史的重要書籍。 |
