Description
中文（臺灣）：羅東地區的初期墾拓，一般以中部岸裡與阿里史諸社等平埔族人為代表，其領導者為潘賢文。1804（嘉慶9）年時，中部平埔族人來到宜蘭與漢人爭地，但因缺糧，以鳥槍與漢人交換糧食，致喪失其族群優勢。1806（嘉慶11）年宜蘭與台灣西部均發生漳泉械鬥，岸裡社依附的泉州人失敗，中部平埔族諸社即越過宜蘭濁水溪（蘭陽溪）移居羅東開墾，因此被稱為「羅東功德主」，並在羅東城隍廟中與以祭祀。在羅東城隍廟左廂功德堂即祀有「羅東功德主賢文茅格之神位」，故該廟亦被稱為「番仔廟」；此外，功德堂中亦供奉「羅東開拓者諸先烈之神位」及「先賢林烏全　廟祝太空李德林真之神位」。
