| Description |
中文（繁體）：昭和2(1927)年12月開工興建的臺中市民館，是臺灣共進協會萬元基金加上一般捐獻23,000及市府5,000所合建，翌年6月完工。7月開放，設備齊全，為市民共同交流之場所。 本照片出自《台中市珍貴古老照片專輯第四集》〈建物與景勝篇〉(第145頁)，2000年12月出版，為保留照片的純樸風味，本專輯不作多餘的贅飾，僅將徵集評選出來的古老照片翻拍並分類編排，計分：人物與服飾篇、教育篇、建物與景勝篇、市街與交通篇、生活篇等五個篇章，盡量呈現古照片的原始風貌，讓讀者得以細細玩味舊時代的生活情趣。 |
