Description
中文：此為初至彰化基督教醫院的蘭大弼醫生夫婦，在醫院後方樓梯與同工合影。
1951年蘭大弼醫生夫婦離開泉州經香港返回英國，當大家得知蘭大弼醫生夫婦回英國後，當時台灣的教會人士極力邀請蘭大弼醫生夫婦，前來彰化基督教醫院服務。1952年蘭大弼醫生夫婦由英國搭船來台，彰化基督教醫院聘請蘭大弼醫生擔任顧問，並且加入了醫療團隊的事工。1953年蘭大弼醫生協助當時的院長楊毓奇醫生，取得了中英基金會的獎學金，前往英國進修。然而，楊毓奇醫生卻違約出走，經美國轉往巴西，從此不再返回彰化基督教醫院復職；院內同工的士氣不但受到了打擊，行政系統也受到了極大的影響。1954年9月，董事會決議：聘請蘭大弼醫生，接任彰化基督教醫院第九任院長，直到1980年退休返英定居。
