Description
English: The decoration of the vault was restored in 2011. It illustrates the four cardinal virtues: Prudence and its mirror, Temperance and its two receptacles, the force slaying the animal and your justice holding the scales. The staircase was initiated by Bishop Daillon du Lude; The decoration of the ceiling by Mgr Hyacinte Serroni in the 17th century. Pictorial work inspired by the frescoes in the dome of "San Carlo ai Catinari" in Rome; attributed to the Domenichino.
Français : Le décor de la voute a été restauré en 2011. Il illustre les quatre vertus cardinales : La prudence et son miroir, La tempérance et ses deux récipients, la force terrassant l’animal et ta justice tenant la balance. L'escalier a été initié par Mgr Daillon du Lude; Le décor du plafond par Mgr Hyacinte Serroni au XVIIe. Travail pictural inspiré des fresques du dôme de ‘’San Carlo ai Catinari’’ à Rome ; attribuées au Domenichino.
