Description
English: The gravestone which is a memorial to ten Dutchman who were the crew of a fishing boat named De Vrouw Arendje from the fishing port of Katwijk. The boat was lost in a storm which occurred in the night of 14 – 15 October. The overturned ship was washed up on Trimingham beach with seven bodies which are buried here. Three sailors were never found. The gravestone is in the churchyard of the parish church of John the Baptists Head located in the village of Trimingham, Norfolk, England. The inscription on the stone reads:

Over the sea, the calm blue sea 
Relatives of the crew of De Vrouw Arendje were never informed about the burial here in Trimingham until the 1970’s. The grave and the memorial has now been visited several times in recent years and will continue to do so in the future. 'Lady' Arendje is not forgotten.
