| Description | U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Jon Kimmel, a maritime enforcement specialist with U.S. Coast Guard Base Los Angeles, attends a Los Angeles Dodgers home game against the San Diego Padres at Dodgers Stadium during the first L.A. Fleet Week, as the “hero of the game,” in Los Angeles, Sept. 3, 2016. Kimmel, a native of Poconos, Pa., has served in the armed force for a total of nine years, four years with the U.S. Army and five years with the U.S. Coast guard, and served during Operation Iraqi Freedom. L.A. Fleet Week is an event designed to showcase the capabilities of the Navy-Marine Corps team to the citizens of L.A., as well as an opportunity for members of the sea services to meet and thank the community for their support.
