Summary[edit]

Description
English: Northeastern main entrance of 1900 M Street NW in Washington, D.C., in the United States. This Modernist office building has an all-glass curtain wall. The 12-story building was built in 1974 by developer Melvin Lenkin and designed by architect Vlastimil Koubek. The building features a cutaway, cantilevered front corner; ground floor arcade; and setback, two-story penthouse level. The main entrance mirrors the cutaway, cantilevered look of the corner of the building above it. The entrance, however, is constructed of polished light pink granite, with dark pink accents along the bottom. The glass doors are built into a dark bronze jamb, with additional windows surrounding the doors to provide additional light and ornamentation. And eight-pointed star made of light and dark pink granite (once a fountain, now a planter) is in the small plaza in front of the entrance.
