1932 Ford Pickup Hot Rod

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Little Joe.

The 1932 Ford was available as the 201 cu in 4 cylinder Model B or the 221 cu in Flathead V8 Model 18, built on the same platform, they shared body, chassis and trim. Replacing the Model A, the new Ford not only got the new V8 option, but was on a longer wheelbase, got a lower hoodline and a new chassis. The first hot rods were old cars (most often Fords, typically Model Ts, Model As or Model Bs), modified to reduce weight. The latest craze is these Rat Rods Little Joe was created in just 5 weeks, built by the Welderup team in Las Vegas. The truck was chopped 5 1/2 inches and channeled over a custom frame. Engine is a 3900cc Cummins 4 cyl diesel, with twin turbos producing 400hp, transmission, a Turbo 400 and 9 inch rear end. 120 Cowboy boots line the interior with a barnwoood roof and floor, a double barrel shotgun shifter.
