Summary[edit]
| Description | Balda Baldessa and Zeiss Ikon Contessa were mid-50’s W. German rangefinder cameras aimed at the same market. Balda competed being less expensive and Zeiss competed on quality. Functionally, they were similar: 45mm f/2.8 lenses, uncoupled light meters and both are compact enough to fit in your coat pocket. Both take very nice images. Both examples are fully functional including the light meters. |
