Description
English: 93th birth anniversary of the founder of the Communist party and the Soviet state Vladimir Lenin.
The portrait of Vladimir Lenin after the painting Vladimir Lenin on a Tribune 1 May 1920 by Isaak Brodsky (oil on canvas, 116×89 cm, 1927) [1].
The stamp of the Soviet Union, 4 kopecks, 30 March 1963, CPA Catalogue No 2845, Michel No 2738a, Scott No 2727, Yvert No 2652. Intaglio printing. Colours: brown, red. Perforation: comb 12×12½. Size of the stamp: 37×52 mm. Print run: 3,000,000.
There are known the varieties of the stamp: the stamps on white and light pink paper, unperforated stamps; as well there is known the proof with the year of issue 1962 and the denomination 50 kopeks.
