Description
Deutsch: 20.11.2003 01328 Dresden-Schönfeld: Dorfkirche (GMP: 51.032703,13.895919). Die Schönfelder Kirche entstand vermutlich um 1300 an Stelle einer älterer Vorgängerin. Reste dieses Vorgängerbaus sind noch im Turm und im hinteren Schiff erhalten. 1776 erweiterte man das Kirchenschiff von 16 auf 25 Meter und fügte den Chorraum mit einer neuen Gruft hinzu. Der Taufstein (um 1677) stammt aus der Werkstatt des Neugraupaer Bildhauers Peter Nacke. Die Engel tragen die Wappenreihe des ansässigen Adels und verweisen darauf, wer hier das Sagen hatte.
