Deutsch: 04.04.2004 Dresden, Lennéstraße: Großer Garten. Die "Kontinentenvase" (GMP: 51.042330,13.751380) auf der südlichen der beiden Torstelen an der westlichen
Hauptallee. Hier im Bild ist noch das schadhafte, rissige Original zu sehen, das 2007 entfernt wurde. Die Prunkvasen, auch als "Vier Elemente" und "Vier Erdteile" bezeichnet, wurden vom italienischen Bildhauer Antonio Corradini um 1720 hergestellt. Sachsens Kurfürst August der Starke hatte die Kunstwerke aus Carrara-Marmor 1730 im Großen Garten aufstellen lassen. 2016 fiel die Entscheidung, die Prunkvasen zu kopieren. Daran arbeiten der Dresdner Bildhauer Oliver Matz und Kollegen. Ziel ist es, die Prunkvasen im Sommer 2020 wieder aufzustellen. [DSCN2690.TIF]20040404500DR.JPG(c)Blobelt |
