Deutsch: 30.01.2006 01468 Moritzburg, Fasanerie 4: Fasanerieschlößchen (GMP: 51.168863,13.706161). 1728 wird für Hoftafel und Jagd in Moritzburg eine Fasanenzucht angelegt. Am Ufer des Bärnsdorfer Großteichs, etwa zwei Kilometer vom Moritzburger Jagdschloss entfernt, steht das Fasanenschlösschen. Das "Neue Palais im Fasanengarten" geht auf Kurfürst Friedrich August III. von Sachsen (1750-1827), (später wurde er der Gerechte genannt) zurück. Dieser ließ das Lusthaus des Fasanengartens 1770 für sich und seine Gemahlin Amalie Auguste durch ein Schlösschen ersetzen. Der Architekt Johann Daniel Schade (1730-1798) schuf ein kleines, intimes Palais, das - anders als das große Jagdschloss - allein für den zurückgezogenen Aufenthalt der kurfürstlichen Familie gedacht war. Bis zum Ende des II. Weltkrieges bleibt es im Besitz des Hauses Wettin. 1947 zieht eine Vogelschutzwarte ins Fasanenschlößchen. Ab 1956 ist hier eine vogelkundliche Ausstellung mit jährlich 19 000 Besuchern! 1992 geht das Schlößchen in den Besitz des Freistaates Sachsen über und gehört zum Schloßbetrieb Moritzburg. 1996 erhält das Schlößchen eine anonyme Spende, die die bis heute (Sommer 2006) andauernden Sanierungsarbeiten ermöglicht.
