Description
Deutsch: 26.08.2008 01139 Dresden-Kaditz, Altkaditz: Ev.-Luth. Emmauskirche Kaditz (GMP: 51.083496,13.671395). Vor dem Bau der heutigen Kirche stand hier aus dem 14./15. Jahrhundert die Laurentiuskapelle, von der im Sockelgeschoß des Turms noch ein gotisches Kreuzgewölbe mit Laurentius-Schlußstein erhalten ist. Um 1500 erfolgte ein Neubau des Kirchgebäudes als spätgotischer Saalbau mit markantem Westturm. Um 1680 wurden die Turmgiebel im Stil der Renaissance umgestaltet. 1750-1756 entstand durch Umbauten das barocke Kircheninnere. Aus dieser Zeit stammt der hölzerne Kanzelaltar mit den Aposteln Petrus und Paulus, geschaffen von Gottfried Knöffler. 1869 begann die äußerliche Erneuerung der Kirche im Stil der Neogotik durch die Gebrüder Ziller.
