| Description |
English: A display of historic rail track componeents at Crowcombe Heathfield station, Somerset, England. In the foreground is a length of broad gauge "baulk road" track and also a length of Barlow rail and MacDonnell plate from the same period. At the far end is a more modern standard gauge section which includes steel, concrete and timber sleeprs (ties). The short concrete post on the left is a mile post showing the distance from London Paddington, and the yellow stencil numbers are speed restriction signs (showing miles per hour). |
